Who Are The Regulators?

A band of fearless skaters longed for the day that they would become bigger, better, faster, stronger. Yearned to ultimately be the baddest women on 8 wheels! Thus, the Richland County Regulators Derby Team (RCRDT) was formed.

RCRDT is an all female, flat track roller derby team governed by the rules established by the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) Roller Derby is a fast-paced, hard-hitting, action-packed sport that is currently sweeping the nation. The hits are hard, the injuries are real, and NOTHING is choreographed! With vigorous training both on and off skates, RCRDT women are amazing athletes and will not hesitate to put you in your place (on the track, of course). We are skater owned and operated and wish to create a permanent hold within the Columbia Metropolitan area. RCRDT makes frequent appearances within the community to include restaurants, clubs and local events.

Our Mission:

"The Richland County Regulators' goal as a roller derby team is to provide women with the opportunity to build camaraderie between skaters and teams. Together, we work to gain personal and athletic progression with adequate training. We provide action packed, entertaining events in our community while helping to support local organizations. We strive to reignite the passion for the sport of roller derby not only in our community but abroad."
